June 20, 2016 – Greenwich, CT law firm Ivey, Barnum & O'Mara, LLC announced that 2 of its attorneys have been named among the top attorneys in the state for 2016 by Super Lawyers. Stephen G. Walko, a partner at the firm was selected as a 2016 Connecticut Super Lawyer, after being named a Super Lawyer in 2015. Only 5 percent of attorneys in Connecticut receive this distinction. Additionally, Andrea C. Sisca, an associate of the firm, was named a 2016 Super Lawyers Connecticut Rising Star. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected through a multi-step process at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

June 2016 – Stephen Napier is named as a recipient of this year's Fairfield County Business Journal ‘s "40 under 40" award, for his business leadership, professional success and commitment to the community." Each year, the "40 under 40" award is presented to 40 of the best and brightest professionals in Fairfield County under the age of 40 who have shown leadership and contributed to Fairfield County's business growth.

May, 2016 – Donat C. Marchand invited to membership of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, an organization which recognizes attorneys throughout the country "who elevate the standards of the Bar and provide a benchmark for other lawyers to emulate." According to the organization's website, "Members are thoroughly vetted by a research team, selected by a blue ribbon panel of attorneys with podium status from independently neutral organizations, and approved by a judicial review board as exhibiting virtue in the practice of law."

April 2016 – In Rowe v. Rubin, a plaintiff who prevailed on a civil complaint was entitled to reasonable attorney fees. The trial court approved hourly rates that ranged between $224 and $400 per hour for plaintiff's lead attorneys, Edward Krumeich and Stephen Walko of IBO who were described by the court as "very experienced," "helpful" and "efficient." It was also determined that the partners made appropriate use of associate attorneys who billed lower rates.
