THE REAL ESTATE DEPARTMENT
The Real Estate Department is experienced in managing sophisticated
residential and commercial transactions throughout Fairfield
and Westchester counties.
Our firm has one of the largest residential real estate practices
in the area, servicing clients from the contract negotiation
stage through the closing. During this process, we continuously
assist the client with the proper completion and submission
of the ever-changing documentation required in today's market.
We regularly advise our clients regarding any construction,
zoning, environmental and land use issues that may arise.
Additionally, we actively negotiate lease agreements on behalf
of both the landlords and tenants whom we represent.
The Real Estate Department works as a team with members of
the Business Department in managing the firm's significant
commercial real estate practice. As counsel to banks and insurance
companies, we are involved in organizing loan closings, loan
restructuring, mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcies. We
are the primary Connecticut counsel for mortgage closings
for three of the Northeast's major banks. Members of the Real
Estate Department add to these transactions their skills concerning
land use, environmental and title issues. |
