Samuel A. Shusterhoff joined Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara in 2017. Prior to joining Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara, Sam was a Litigation associate at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, focusing his practice on general liability matters with a concentration in transportation cases. He worked with the more than 70 transportation attorneys in the firm’s national practice group who represent public and private railroads, aviation companies, bus lines, small to large fleet carriers, freight forwarders and brokers, shippers, and taxi and limousine companies. In addition, Sam represented clients in all aspects of the real estate industry, including residential, commercial, building development and investing. His experience included the handling of complex residential and commercial real estate transactions, leasing, real estate finance, title insurance and land use.

At Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara, Sam focuses his practice on Commercial and Residential Real Estate including acquisitions and sales, Office and Shopping Center Leasing, Real Estate Finance & Commercial Leasing.

Sam obtained a BA in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and a JD from Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to the State Bar of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District. Sam also has experience practicing corporate law, criminal defense and other litigation matters. He has a strong interest in pro bono work and volunteers at a meal facility for the homeless.
